Uracil-DNA glycosylase (UDG) catalyzes the release of free uracil from uracil containing DNA. UDG efficiently hydrolyzes uracil from single-stranded or double-stranded DNA, but not from oligomers (6 or less bases).

10000 units/ml in storage buffer (20 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 50 mM NaCl, 1 mM EDTA, 1 mM DTT,  0,1 mg/ml BSA, 50% glycerol)
Unit definition:
One unit of activity is the amount of enzyme required to release of 60pmol of uracil per minute from double-stranded, uracil-containing DNA.
Reaction buffer:
(10x) 200 mM Tris-HCl (pH8.0), 10 mM EDTA, 100 mM NaCl
Escherichia coli (E.coli)
